Having placed second in the U18 European Baseball Championship in Macerata and Montegranaro, Team Italy along with Euro champion Kingdom of the Netherlands qualified for the WBSC U18 Baseball World Cup.
The WBSC U18 Baseball World Cup will feature 12 elite national teams and be held at Sarasota's Ed Smith Stadium and Bradenton's LECOM Park, the respective Spring Training homes of the Baltimore Orioles and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
