Italy's Serie A Baseball: 30 teams will participate in the 2023 season

With the defections of Academy Nettuno and Castelfranco Veneto, a total of 30 teams from nine regions as well as defending champion San Marino will participate in Serie A Baseball during the 2023 season

Despite the rumors that San Marino ASD President Alberto Antolini and FIBS President Andrea Marcon had a dispute in regards to the defending Serie A Baseball champion participating during the 2023 season, San Marino ASD has paid the registration fee within the deadline for eligibility to confirm its participation. Furthermore, the relationship between the two parties have always continued with the utmost respect and courtesy.

Considering the defections registered at the time of registration (Dragons of Castelfranco Veneto and Academy of Nettuno), the FIBS Federal Council will make some changes to the championship formula, which will not undergo any disruptions in any case. In the coming days, meetings will be scheduled to address these changes to all parties involved.
