It all starts tonight with games in Bolonga (Bologna vs. Reggio Emilia) and in Rimini (Rimini vs. Parma) while coming to a conclusion on Sunday when Nettuno heads north to Ronchi dei Legionari.

Tonight in Bologna, Unipol will host Palfinger Reggio Emilia after having a busy week in terms of roster moves. Expected to rejoin the club in the near future is Panerati, while Moreno is on his way home with elbow problems. Starting on the mound in tonight’s game for the home team will be the thus far dominant, Riverio (0.00 ERA, 21.1 IP, 30 K’s), with D’Angelo taking the ball in Reggio Emilia on Saturday night when the series moves 45 minutes up the A1. In the backend of both games look for Richetti to close things out. As for the rest of the line up, it still looks as if Bischeri and Nosti will be unavailable this weekend so Nanni is expected to throw the same names out in the field as he’s done over the last two weeks. Reggio Emilia’s manager Carrion is still undecided on who will take the ball for his club in game one of the series tonight (Bastardo or Bertolini). On the infield Piazza will man second with Bastardo on the bump, while Ferrini will take the responsibilities when Bertolini takes the ball. As for the rest of the lineup: Biagini at first, Epifano and shortstop, Taglivini at third, Gregorini in left, Murari in center, and Macaluso in right.

In Rimini, Parma will be coming in, a team in search of a victory as they have been winless since week two of the season (3-5). If their going to back on track this week they’re going to have to do it a very solid team whom have recently bolstered their roster by adding ex Big Leaguer, Yorman Bazardo and veteran Jim Buccheri. Rimini’s manager Cantanoso, will be sending Marquez and Corradini to the hill as the two starters in this series. Parma will once again be a little bit short handed in game one of the series with the absence of Giannetti who is sitting Friday nights game out thanks to a one game suspension. Starting at third in his place will be Benetti. Tonight Parma’s manager, Munoz, will hand the ball to Sanchez and tomorrow he will be counting on the two young arms of Rivera and Loardi, as Giovanelli is out with some elbow soreness. Saturday night in Parma will be the first homecoming for Zilari and Bertagnon since leaving Parma for Rimini.
