Team Italy U23 baseball squad gathers in Verona on June 22, 2021
After a productive workout in Parma just days ago, the Team Italy U23 baseball squad get together for another training session followed by an exhibition game in Verona on June 22, 2021
Team Italy manager Alberto D'Auria has an action-packed day planned for his U23 baseball squad in Verona on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. With the U23 European Baseball Championship taking place in Verona from August 24-28, 2021, it only makes sense that the Azzurri team play as much as possible on their home turf. Following an intensive workout earlier in the day, the U23 Team Italy baseball squad will be put to the test later in an exhibition against Serie A's Tecnovap Verona on June 22, 2021.
Team Italy manager Alberto D'Auria has selected 23 players to participate in Verona. The Italian skipper will be assisted by pitching coach Rolando Cretis, coaches Gianmario Costa, Federico Bassi and Alessandro Bortolomai as well as physiotherapist Massimo Baldi, team physician Dr. Gianluca Camillieri and delegation manager Vincenzo Mignola. In addition, it is expected that Team Italy Seniors manager Mike Piazza along with pitching coach Vince Horsman and assistant coach Gianmarco Faraone will also be present in Verona.
