Tuesday morning’s matchup between Unipol Bologna and Amsterdam turned out to be a good one, with Bolonga coming out on top in the 10th inning tiebreak. The game turned out to be a pitchers duel between Rivero (Bologna) and Cordemans (L&D) as the two allowed only one run each in the 3rd. With the score 1-1 heading into extras with the tiebreak rule in effect, Bolonga was able to push across two in the top half when Infante drew a bases loaded walk, and Liverziani smacked a two run single which put Bologna up three. Amsterdam made it interesting in the bottom of the 10th, scoring two off of Pugliese, but with the tying run on base the righty went to his slider for the last out and the save. Bologna moves to 1-0 in the tournament while Amsterdam drops to 0-1. San Marino’s next up at 15.00 in a matchup with Prague.
