After competitive contests against Olympic foes USA and Canada as well as a victory over Florida International University last month, the Team Italy women’s softball squad reunites on May 7, 2021 in preparation for an exhibition game against a group of Italian softball all-stars in Caronno Pertusella on the following day. Team Italy manager Federico Pizzolini has recruited 15 players for the three-day camp in hopes that the squad can get ready for next month’s in Friuli Venezia-Giulia.
The Italian skipper will be assisted by coaches Giovanna Palermi and Julio Andres La Rosa Zequeira, athletic trainers Francesca Ambruoso and Andrea Cardone, physiotherapist Ulisse Hernandez, team physician Dr. Gaetano Schiavottiello and delegation manager Claudia Venturini.
