Azzurrini manager Stefano Burato has prepared his young and promising players in Buttrio, Italy prior to departing for Vienna, Austria to compete in the U12 European Baseball Championship from July 5-9, 2022. Defending champion Team Italy is in Group A with the Netherlands, Lithuania and Hungary. Group B consists of last year's runner-up Czech Republic, bronze medal winner Germany, host Austria and France.
Team Italy kicks off its Group A round-robin schedule with a game against Lithuania at Ballpark Spenadlwiese, Vienna on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 1:30 pm (local time). The Italians return the following morning at 10 am for a clash with Hungary. Team Italy plays Euro rival the Netherlands on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 3 pm (local time).
The top two teams in each group advance to the semifinals, which begins on Friday, July 8, 2022. The U12 European Baseball Championship final is scheduled for Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 6pm (local time).
