Team Italy U18 baseball squad plays two exhibition games in Grosseto on May 7-8, 2024

Due to bad weather in Piacenza, the Team Italy U18 has canceled its workout on May 1, 2024. The Azzurri squad will instead play two exhibition games against Bbc Grosseto and Bsc Big Mat on Tuesday, May 7th and Wednesday, May 8th.

Roberto Jannella Stadium in Grosseto, which has played host to Italian LA28 prospects for a five-day training camp, will once again be the venue for the Team Italy U18 baseball squad on May 7-8, 2024 for two exhibition games against local Serie A teams Bbc Grosseto and Bsc Big Mat.  

Azzurri manager Guglielmo Trinci has summoned 24 players for the two-day training and exhibition series in preparation for the U18 European Baseball Championship in Regensburg from July 8-14, 2024.

Team Italy U18 manager Guglielmo Trinci said, “It's a shame that we had to cancel our workout in Piacenza, but we will try to do a good job next week. Training is going well and we will select some of the players in Grosseto to be among the 20-man roster in the Euros, and it is possible that a few more not with us now will join us later. Nobody is safe."
