Palfinger hosts the Knights in Reggio Emilia tonight

Week three of the second half begins in Reggio Emilia with a matchup between the home team Palfinger and the visiting Godo Knights. The game will be televised live on RaiSport 2 with a game time of 21:00.  

Coming off of an impressive series sweep of Nettuno less then a week ago, Carrion’s club will expect to keep it going against the Godo Knights on their home turf beginning tonight at 21:00 local time and concluding with game two on Saturday at 20:30. Palfinger will be at full strength coming into this matchup where they will be looking to inch closer to that .500 mark on the season. Most likely getting the call on the hill will be the southpaw, Alberto Bastardo with Astora and Salsi out of the pen. Getting the start at second will be Piazza and the DH role is still up in the air between Bertoli, Cammi and Quintavalla. Game two of the series on Saturday evening will Bertolini with Crapaldi in relief, while Ferrini will start at second.

The Knights lineup has many questions surrounding it at the moment. Beginning with right-handed pitcher Galeotti who is a big “?” this weekend after being hit with a liner last week against Parma. If he’s going to be making an appearance this weekend it’s probably not going to come till Saturday in game two. With this said Fuzzi will either be handing the ball to Ribeiro or Casalini. The buck doesn’t stop there in regards to injuries for the Knights, as Rodriguez is in question with some back stiffness and Retrosi is having shoulder issues.
