Padova remains unstoppable, Bollate and Senago Milano United split

In division A the derby between Bollate and Senago Milano United finished tied with both teams walking away with a win apiece

In division A the derby between Bollate and Senago Milano United finished tied with both teams walking away with a win apiece. The results mean no movement in the standings between the one and two and the division. Bollate took game one of the doubleheader thanks to a 4 run second. Mattia Bertuzzo went 7 innings for the win and Antony Arcila picked up the save for Bollate. In game two it was Senago Milano United that picked up the win () thanks to a late comeback, picking up 4 runs in the last two innings. Over in Crocetta, Farma earned the sweep over Collecchio in two fairly close games, and . It was the first series sweep of the year for Crocetta. Notably, Gradali went 7 innings for Crocetta and recorded 12 strikeouts in game 2. Codogno also came out victorious twice in their series against Ciemme Maller Oltretorrente on Sunday. Game one was won with game two being a much closer battle, . The other two teams in the division, Rebecchi-Nordmeccanica Piacenza and Novara/ Piemonte were rained out.

In division B Comcor Modena became yet another victim to the Tommasin Padova’s march towards the post season. The series was pushed back a day due to rain, but all that did was delay the almost certain series sweep. In game one Modena fell by the score of all this thanks to a 5 run 9th inning by Padova. Modena’s bullpen just want able to hold their ground in the last inning of a very sloppy game (6 errors by Padova, 3 by Modena).  Padova took game two by the score of thanks to a 20 strikeout performance by Leonardo Astorga. The sweep moves Padova to 12 and 0 on the season, still perfect. The Bologna Athletics picked up two wins on Sunday against Castenaso. They took game one with Francesco Nardi on the bump, , and game two in a combined effort, . Over in Sala Baganza, Rimini Riviera and E-Tecno split their series. Game one went to Rimini Riviera and game two to Sala Baganza in 10 innings by a score of . Lastly Redskins Imola and Rovigo also went 1 and 1 on Sunday. Game one went to Imola and game two to Rovigo .

In division C Urbe Roma for the second straight week dominated game one and struggled big time in game two, this time to Anzio. Roma took game one before falling by an even bigger margin to the home team (Anzio) in game two. Down in Messina, Recotech Padule picked up a nice series sweep against CUS on their home field. Game one featured a shower of hits, 30 in all, and was taken by Padule. Game two saw a few less hits (24) and was also won by Recotech Padule, . Rounding off the division and the league was Nettuno’s sweep over Pulirapida Pesaro Fano, and .
