Reggio Emilia hosts Team Italy U23 baseball training camp from May 18-22, 2023
Team Italy manager Alberto D'Auria has selected 24 players for the five-day training camp in Reggio Emilia
In preparation for the U23 European Baseball Championship in Wiener Neustadt and Schwechat, Austria from August 8-12, 2023, the Team Italy U23 baseball squad gathers for a series of workouts in Reggio Emilia from May 18-22, 2023. The international competition is quite significant as the two top teams from the Euros will qualify for the 2024 U23 Baseball World Cup at the Shaoxing Sports and Cultural Center Baseball Stadium in Mainland China.
A total of 24 athletes will participate in the Reggio Emilia training. Team Italy U23 manager Alberto D'Auria will be assisted by pitching coach Rolando Cretis, bench coach Gianmario Costa (bench coach), coaches Federico Bassi, Alessandro Bortolomai and Christian Gnudi. In addition, athletic trainers Michele Corbo and Frankie Russo, physiotherapist Sergio Arigano. team physician Dr. Davide Ortolina and delegation manager Riccardo Soglia will be on hand to lend their support.
