The Tournament of the Republic kicked off on Saturday night with a 4-0 victory by the Team Italy over Germany. Italia Sperimentale also came out on top in their matchup with Caronno and Friends by the same score of 4-0.
In Italy’s game it was a great pitching performance by Creta Cecchetti, Michela Musitelliand Luana Luconi that paved the way to the 4-0 victory. Marina Centrone’s team came out with a high level of intensity, a good sign as the team prepares for this summers European Championship.
On Saturday, June 1st the Italian National Softball team will take on “Italia Sperimentale” in Bollate at 17.00. Over in Caronno, Carnnono and Friends will face off with Germany. At 20.00 all four teams will hit the field again, Team Italy against Caronnon and Friends in Caronno, and Germany vs. Italia Sperimentale in Bollate.
