Team Italy U12 roster and schedule revealed for U12 Baseball World Cup
Team Italy U12 manager Stefano Burato has released the names of 18 young and promising players to compete in the U12 Baseball World Cup in Tainan, Taiwan from July 29-August 7, 2022.
The sixth edition of the U12 Baseball World Cup is fast approaching. Reigning U12 Baseball World Cup champion Taiwan hosts Team Italy, Mexico, Venezuela, South Africa and Panama in Group A round-robin play at Asia-Pacific International Baseball Stadium in Tainan from July 29 to August 2, 2022. Group B features USA, Japan, South Korea, Dominican Republic, Czech Republic and Guam.
On Wednesday, August 4, 2022, the top three teams from each group will move on to the Super Round to compete for gold, silver and bronze medals. The other teams will battle in the Placement Round to determine their final ranking. The international competition will continue through Sunday, August 7, 2022.
Team Italy faces host Taiwan on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 6:30 pm (local time). The Azzurrini take on South Africa the following day at 6:30 pm (local time). Then the Italians play Panama on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 2:30 pm (local time). Mexico is next on Monday, August 1, 2022 at 2:30 pm (local time). Group A round-robin action concludes for Team Italy on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 with a contest against Venezuela at 10:30 am (local time).
