The 2023 edition of the Italian Baseball and Softball Convention at Palacongressi di Rimini will undoubtedly be an event to remember. Federation Italiana Baseball Softball (FIBS) has prepared a training program with the approval of it various technical agencies and published by Sport and Health, which will presented at CON-X.

CON-X is short for CONvention eXtended, representing the broad expansion of the contents and times that leads the Convention to be one of the fundamental elements since it is launching pad for the yearly training plan of FIBS.

The quality of the speakers has made the event not to be missed for all those who dedicate their time and passion to baseball and softball. Over 1,000 attendees are expected to participate as in years past.

The training courses are applicable to athletes, coaches, scorers, managers, doctors, media operators, technicians, physical trainers, parents and enthusiasts. They will certainly be a source of growth for everyone and combine elements of interest for every participant. Attendees will have the opportunity to create their own personalized program from whatever disciple they choose.

The subjects reviewed in the various courses cover a very wide range. For coaches, but also for male and female athletes, the main focus established by the National Technical Committee chaired by Fabio Borselli is on throwing. However, there are many aspects of the game that are explored in depth, from catching, to pitching, to the use of digital technologies. The methodologies are structured and organized by the experts at Scuola dello Sport di Sport e Salute. They are especially useful for those who work with young athletes. CON-X presents an introductory course on Transformational Leadership which combines learning of the discipline, the psychology of sport and positive individual development of children with the presence of one of the leading authorities on the subject, Professor Jean Côté of Queen's University of Kingston in Ontario, Canada. Professor Rob Gray of Arizona State University and consultant to the Boston Red Sox will speak on the matter of perception and the sporting gesture in the athlete.

The CNA led by Gianluca Magnani and the CNC chaired by Anna Maria Paini will update the umpires and scorers on techniques and regulatory news. Injury prevention, recovery treatment, but also nutrition and first aid are the topics addressed by the Medical Commission led by Professor Gianfranco Beltrami, while Andrea Cardone's team of Physical Trainers will be at work in the Practical Activities Area with particular attention to training and to functional assessment.

There is also a particularly varied menu dedicated to executives: the new Law on Sport is the leading topic, dealt with by the President of the FIBS Board of Auditors Alberto Rigotto and by attorney Nadir Plasenzotti, but ample space will be reserved for marketing/ communication, with Andrea Annunziata and Flavia Chiarelli of Sport Think and social responsibility, with special attention to the recognition and responsibility in the treatment of abuse, thanks to the contributions of Daniela Simonetti of Change The Game and the boys of MaBasta! and the dissemination of 'The Protection of the Rights of Minors in Sport' created by the School of Sport and AGIA, the Guarantor Authority for Childhood and Adolescence.

As always, the program features special guests and moments that we will gradually talk about in the coming days that separate us from the event, as well as the detailed profiles and topics of the various speakers, who join the representatives of the various Technical Bodies, Commissions and Sectors of the FIBS, of which we announce below the rich lineup from abroad:
