Italy Experience Softball Camp comes to Concordia University in Irvine

Team Italy softball infielder Amanda Fama returns to her alma mater at Concordia University in Irvine, California to host “The Italy Experience” on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 9:00 am. Fellow Italian teammates Erika Piancastelli, Marta Gasparotto, and Ilaria Cacciamani are scheduled to appear at the one-day softball camp. The Tokyo 2020 Olympic-bound players will offer tips on hitting, bunting, baserunning, agility, pitching, catching, and playing the infield and outfield positions. There also will be time for a special Q and A segment. Amanda Fama said, "We are excited to be able to bring the Italian softball world to athletes in Southern California. where Erika and I have spend a lot of our lives! The camp is to let athletes learn, grow their knowlege and have on-field experiences with athletes they will see at the upcoming Tokyo 2020 games."

Amanda Fama recently worked with international softball colleagues Jamee JuarezGordy Bravo, and Adriana Perez at the second annual Softball Around the World Youth Training Camp over the Christmas holiday in nearby Covina, California. Based on the success of the camp and the gaining popularity of youth softball locally, it is advised to register early for “The Italy Experience” as limited space is available. For more information and registration, visit the Italy Experience Camp facebook page or email Forza #Italia!
