Carol Bruggeman (@CoachBrugg) represents softball royalty at CON6

National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Executive Director Carol Bruggeman will be among fellow coaches as well as umpires, scorers, athletes, managers, and medical professionals featured at the CON6 Italian Baseball and Softball Convention held at the ultra-spacious Palacongressi di Rimini from January 24-26, 2020. An internationally-renowned author and television analyst for ESPN, Big Ten Network and SEC Network, Carol Bruggeman joins Houston Astros pitching coach Brent Strom as one of CON6 2020 keynote speakers.

The Iowa Softball Association Hall of Famer was an Iowa University softball all-star who was selected as a member of the Academic All-Big Ten Team and received the Iowa Medal of Honor for academic performance while excelling in sports. After graduating with her bachelors degree in accounting and business from Iowa University, Carol Bruggeman went on to receive a master's degree in athletic administration and coaching. She has since amassed over 700 victories as NCAA Division I head coach for the University of Michigan, Purdue University, and Louisville University. In addition, Carol Bruggeman served as head coach for USA Athletes International and won gold in the 2011 World Cup in Australia.

Carol Bruggeman began her role as NFCA Interim Executive Director on Sept. 1, 2015, and later was named NFCA Executive Director on Feb. 1, 2016, She signed a five-year contract in September 2018, and under her leadership has presided over the two highest-attended National Conventions in the NFCA’s 35-year history.

Carol Bruggeman now brings her expertise to the CON6 Italian Baseball and Softball Convention.
