The right hander, Eduardo Figueroa, will replace Romulo Sanchez on the roster. Figueroa is expected to be available this weekend when San Marino takes on Nettuno down in Rome.
Figueroa is a 27 year old, 6’1” righty out of Venezuela with minor league experience between the Cubs and Twins, reaching as hight as AAA in 2014. In 8 seasons in the US, Figueroa pitched in 190 (48 as a starter), accumulating a record of 26 and 31 with 6 saves. In over 500 innings pitched Figueroa sat down 352 batters via the strikeout, and walked just 195 batters. This young righty has been labeled a ‘workhorse’, who is able to work as a starter or out of the pen.
