It will be Tommasin Padova taking the place of Novara in the 2014 addition of the Italian Baseball League.

The ball club out of Piedmont, Italy (Novara) has decided to take a step back for the upcoming 2014 Italian baseball season, announcing that they will not be participating in the IBL. In their place Tommasin Padova has accepted the challenge to partake in the top Italian baseball league. Padova is coming off of an impressive 2013 season where they won not only the Series A title, but also the Series A Italian Cup. Their participation in the IBL will mark the first time that an organization out of Veneto, Italy will participate in Italy’s top baseball league since 1997, the last club to do so was out of Verona.
