Hits fell like rain in a series split between the New Black Panther and the Godo Knights

The New Black Panthers of Ronchi dei Legionari dominated game one of their double header against the Godo Knights on Sunday afternoon, winning the game 13-2. Ronchi got right to it against the Knights starter Daniele Del Bianco by scoring 4 runs in the top half of the 1st that was caped off with a 3 run homer by Cecotti. The New Black Panthers tacked on 3 more in the third and scored in every inning of the game from there on out. Collado and Miceu were both 3 for 5, and it wasn’t even them that provided the majority of the offense, it was the 4-5 performance by Enrico Cecotti and his 5 RBI’s the put the game completely out of the reach of the Godo Knights. On the mound Yepez picked up the win. The lefty threw 5.1 innings and gave up 5 hits and1 run while striking out 12.

Game two of the double dip was a completely different story as it was Godo who finished the game earlythanks to scoring 14 runs off of 16 hits. One player in particular, Danilo Sanchez, drove in more then half the runs by him self… 8 to be exact. The Dominican catcher finished the day going 3 for 3 with 3 runs scored, 3 RBI’s and 3 walks, as he reached base all six times he walked to the plate. The game didn’t start so hot for the Knights, in fact after one inning of play they found themselves down once again, 3-1. Then in the 4th their offense woke up by scoring 4. From there on out it was no looking back for the Knights on their way to a 14-4 victory. Galeotti picked up the win for Godo. He threw the first 6 frames, gave up 4 runs, 7 hits and struck out 5.
