NETTUNO – Italy chalked up their first win in the Italian Baseball Week, beating the Czech Republic 6-2.
The game was offense “lite”, with each team just mustering up 5 hits apiece, but the six runs in a big advancement from the opening game in which the Azzurri were held scoreless.
Spain remained hot, taking down Chinese Taipei 4-1.
Italy will next be suiting up against Chinese Taipei, before trying to avenge the shutout loss with Spain on Monday.
