Bologna cashes in rain check, tops Godo 4-1; San Marino, Parma to square off in make-up game

BOLOGNA – The boys from Bologna scored a make-up victory, 4-1, Tuesday night over visiting Godo.

All three games of their series had been previously washed out, and last night’s contest marks the first of 3 successive Tuesdays in which Bologna and Godo will battle it out.

Bologna never trailed in last night’s affair, putting up 3 runs on 3 hits in the bottom of the third.

Both teams closed the game with 5 hits apiece.

The win for Bologna moves them to only half a game behind current IBL leader, San Marino.

Meanwhile, the loss for Godo still keeps them 2 games above .500 and only 2.5 games off the pace.

In other midweek action in the IBL, San Marino will play host to incoming Parma this afternoon. The two teams will use this make-up game to address their April 15th game that was washed away.
