Serie A Baseball to use midweek holiday to make up games; softball also in action

ROME – The Italian Baseball Softball Federation (FIBS) is going to take advantage of Wednesday’s national holiday that celebrates Italy’s liberation, in order to catch up on some of the season’s scheduling that had to be postponed due to rainfall.

Serie A Baseball games will be on the calendar during the holiday. Eight teams from Seria A will suit up for make-up games, as Italy shuts down governments and schools.

There will also be action on the softball fields, as Serie A2 squads will dispute over the Italian Cup.
