Emilia Romagna will play in the softball Senior World Series

Italy is participating in 2011 to all of the categories in the Little League softball circuit.

The Emilia Romagna team, coached by Carlo Ferrari, won the EMEA finals in the Junior League beating (13-10) the dutch team Noord Brabant in the championship game played in Ramstein (Germany) and will now fly to the United States to represent the region in the World Series, that are scheduled to happen in Lower Sussex (Delaware) August 7th through 13th.


Ramstein hosted also the EMEA tournament that qualified to the Junior World Series (August 14th through 20th in Kirkland, Washington). The italian representatives were the Cadet squad of the Lombardia Region. They were eliminated in the semi final by the dutch team Utrecht, that went on to claim the tournament with a 12-11 win against Wroclaw (Poland) in the final.


The Little League EMEA tournament will be played, for the third straight year, in Castelfranco Veneto (province of Treviso) starting July 20th. Two italian teams will compete: the Region of Veneto and the Region of Lombardia.
