Reggio Emilia, Rovigo in command of Fed Series League at halfway point

The FIBS Serie A Baseball League has reached the midwaypoint, Reggio Emilia is in the lead of the South Conference.  Back in 2009, the Reggiani were playing inthe Italian Baseball League (IBL) before finishing the season in last-placeand subsequently getting placed into SeriaA. Since then, Palfinger Reggio Emilia won the 2010 Series A title and hasbeen adding to this success in 2011.

Rovigo is on top of the North Conference, but there is notmuch room to err, as both Redipuglia and Codogno are lurking closelybehind--only 1 game off the pace.  Rovigohas ascended from the Series B league to establish themselves as anorganization to be respected in the Italian baseball community.

Also in the North Conference, Padova and Turin's Juve '98are still in the middle of the action. Although Padova and Juve '98 are in 4th and 5th place respectively, both teams are only just two games behind Rovigo.

Teams looking to knock off Reggio in the South Conferenceinclude second-place Arezzo.  The Tuscanteam is only 1 game behind Reggio.

Crocetta, Anzio and Rome are all viable contenders and sittogether tied in third-place, 2 games worse than Reggio.
