Legnano stays atop Italian Softball League after split in Bollate

AMGA Legnano managed to stay hovering over the other teams in the Italian Softball League standing.

Only two teams were able to finish the weekend without registering a defeat: La Loggia and Macerata.
The anticipated rivalry in Lombardy between Bollate and Legnano resulted in a series split.

The 2010 champions, Caserta, were also delivered a defeat while taking on Fiorini Forlì. Caserta racked up 13 hits en route to capturing the early win, but Forli countered with a win in the evening contest to split the series.

In Lombardy, the cross-town rivaly resulted in a split series between Bollate and Legnano.In the first meeting Bollate wound up the pushing across five runs in the 5th and two in the seventh, breaking up a balanced game. Legnano all but dominated in the rematch, needing only five innings to register the win.

La Loggia scored its first sweept of the season at the expense of the Arte Museo of Nuoro.
Climbing the standings was also Macerata, taking down Unione Fermana twice in as many games.
On Sunday, the Titano Hornets mended their wings and stung Rheavendors Caronno two times, buzzing past Caronno 8-1 and 13-0.
