ONLY A BRONZE MEDAL FOR ITALY IN THE "CADETS" EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP

After beating Belgium and Germany to qualify for the semi final, the Cadets baseball National Team was beaten (15-10)  in the semi final by the Czech Republic.
The 3 hour game was a weird one. Italy was off a very good start, scoring 6 runs in the first at bat. But the azzurri starter Anselmi went wild, allowing the Czechs to stay into the game. Actually, Czech Republic took the lead for the first time in the second inning and made the gap in the sixth, scoring 7 runs off pitcher Enrico Varin. Lorenzo Gradali closed the inning
Italy went on to win the third place game 8-1 against Bulgaria. Starting pitcher Gradali threw the complete game and fanned 16 bulgarian hitters.

The Netherlands won the final against the Czech Republic  14-4.
