ITALIAN SOFTBALL LEAGUE SET TO HEAT UP IN WEEK 8

Week 8 of the Italian Softball League will see a clash of the titans with frontrunner AMGA Legnano (9-1) trying to defend its first-place status versus second-place Madige La Loggia (8-4).  Legnano is coming off its first loss of the season, as it dropped a game to Nuoro in Week 7.  La Loggia split with Forli in Week 7 and will likely be shooting to avoid a sweep at the hands of Legnano.

The heat will also rise down south in Caserta, as the softballers from Caserta (6-4) play host to Fiorini Forli (8-4), which is in a second-place tie with La Loggia.  Caserta, the 2009 ISL Champion, can definitely use a sweep to catapult its status and improve its outlook to defend the title.  Forli can look to firmly establish itself among the ISL elite with a sweep of Caserta.

Rounding out the schedule, Unione Fermana will travel to Sanotint Bollate.  Bollate (5-7) is coming off a bye week and will be looking to ease back onto the field with a couple of victories over last place Fermana (1-9)

Museo d'Arte Nuoro will meet Mosca Macerata in Macerata.  Nuoro (6-6) has been sizzling lately and will be aiming to burn Macerata (3-7) this weekend.

The Titano Hornets (4-8) will be resting their wings this week with a bye.
